RE Tech Advisors is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and passionate Technology Manager to be responsible of a team dedicated to design & execution of our technology solutions, inclusive of software & visual development, database management & architecture design. RE Tech’s platform is an industry-leading web application that provides our clients with the ability to monitor and improve building performance in order to achieve their overall sustainability goals. The platform also provides visibility to projects and goal progress as well as decarbonization efforts. The outward facing platform allows front end interaction from the backend database. This role is pivotal in advancing our mission by leading and guiding the development, strategy, and execution of the RE Tech platform. The manager will coordinate with external clients and internal cross-functional teams (Development, Marketing, Customer Success, Business Development, etc.) to ensure the products meet client objectives and are successful in the marketplace. With your expertise, creativity, and commitment, you will contribute directly to creating a sustainable future for our planet by providing our clients with a product to monitor and improve the sustainability performance of their commercial real estate portfolios. We are seeking people who are local to either RE Tech's Dallas, TX or McLean, VA offices. After a successful onboarding, the position is open to a hybrid work model that include a mix of in office and work from home, as well as flex scheduling.

Essential Job Functions / Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead and manage technical projects related to data analytics and automation through to completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Analyze and develop procedures for management and technical the ensure the success of the strategic roadmap. Utilize various platforms for to ensure deliberate progress and execution management for all project stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Provide oversight and mentorship to product manager and developers. Offer guidance on project planning, execution, and problem-solving. Ensure the appropriate staffing and team depth driving productivity.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders, to define project requirements and deliverables. Create management, communication plans and processes.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project impact. Proactively address issues and challenges as they arise, adjusting to market trends and stakeholder requests. Ensure data quality and data privacy are never compromised.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed project reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders. Track project progress and performance metrics to ensure alignment with goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Execute best practices in project management, data analytics, and software development. Foster an environment of continuous learning and improvement within the team. Execute and develop a competitive analysis through researching competitive solutions and documenting their relative strengths and weaknesses.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency with SDLC management tools such as Jira and/or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of underlying architecture, technologies & tools (JavaScript, SQL, .NET, APIs, Alteryx, Tableau) to properly inform product decisions and functionality.

Required Education and/or Experience
- 3+ years in a software product management role, with emphasis on leading cross-team collaboration, creative problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and success in launching products that drive growth and retention.
- Experience supporting sustainability, ESG, climate, energy and/or decarbonization programs or products.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to design product solutions that fit holistically into a customer’s overall experience alongside cross-functional teams.
- Experience defining projects, driving requirements, writing functional specs and coordinating projects across multiple teams.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize workload and manage competing priorities.

Travel Requirements
Periodic travel is required for the role. Travel may include travel to RE Tech offices, if remote, or between RE Tech offices (Fairfax VA and Dallas, Texas) for meetings (estimate of four times per year), as well as for Legence and/or client business needs.
